Americana Agency of Sleepy Eye, also known as Americana Insurance Agency, is a locally-owned and operated independent agency. We offer customized insurance solutions for individuals, families and businesses in Sleepy Eye, Brown County and surrounding areas.

Americana Agency represents 10 different insurance carriers with access to several other companies through brokerage contracts.

History

The agency was established on April 1, 1984 from the merger of The Insurance Shoppe, owned by David Rubey, and the State Agency, owned by the Americana Community Bank. The State Agency was started around 1936 and was operated by Bank personnel. David Rubey started the Insurance Shoppe in 1983. Over the years, we have also acquired two local crop insurance agencies.
